The Netgear GSM4352-100NES is a Layer 3 managed switch with 48 RJ45 Gigabit ports that support PoE+ and four SFP+ uplink ports. It is built for AV-over-IP installations that need both data and power delivered over a single cable. The integrated 550 W power supply provides a 236 W PoE budget for connected devices. Two modular power-supply slots allow 1+1 redundancy or load sharing.

Upgrade from unmanaged or non-PoE switches

This switch replaces unmanaged or non-PoE edge switches when you need centralised management, multicast control and power for endpoints such as cameras, access points or AV encoders. The jump is worth it when your installation requires IGMP Plus for multicast traffic, Auto-LAG for uplink aggregation or the Engage Controller for multi-switch orchestration. It also adds redundant power-supply capability that entry-level switches lack.

48 PoE+ ports with 236 W budget and 10 Gbps uplinks

The 48 ports comfortably handle typical AV-over-IP loads including Dante, AES67, NDI 4, NDI 5 and SMPTE ST 2110 streams when the total PoE draw stays within 236 W. Four 10 Gbps SFP+ uplinks provide headroom for aggregating multiple streams toward the core. The PoE budget runs out when many high-power devices are connected simultaneously, and the 10 Gbps uplinks can saturate if aggregate traffic exceeds that rate.
