On-Camera LED Panel with 176 Bulbs

The Neewer ST3 is a daylight-balanced video light built around 176 ultra-bright LEDs that emit a continuous 5600K output. It mounts to any standard hot shoe or 1/4-inch thread on DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, tripods or light stands. A built-in digital display shows the current brightness level. Power is supplied by an optional DC adapter or Sony NP-F series batteries, neither of which is included.

Dimmable Range and Power Options

Brightness adjusts from 10 to 99 percent via a single rotary dial that also switches the unit on and off. The light accepts DC input or Sony NP-F550, NP-F750 and NP-F970 batteries, giving flexibility for studio or location work. Two clip-on filters — transparent and orange — are included to soften output or warm skin tones. No internal battery or charger is fitted, so continuous runtime depends entirely on the external source chosen.

Output Headroom and Filter Flexibility

The 176-LED array covers a wide area for fill or key lighting in portrait, vlog and interview setups. At the 99 percent setting the panel delivers maximum daylight output; at 10 percent it provides a subtle catch-light without overwhelming ambient light. The orange filter shifts the colour temperature for warmer portraits while the transparent filter diffuses harsh edges. Rated LED life is 50000 hours, so the bulbs will outlast many production cycles.
