Its dual-sided design places a hard-light lens array on one face and a diffused soft-light panel on the other, letting a single unit serve as key or fill without extra modifiers. Weighing 0.76 oz (21.4 g) and measuring 2 x 1.85 x 0.63 inches, it slips into a pocket or small pouch for mobile creators who need instant illumination on location.

Dual-Sided Lighting Flexibility

Both panels can be activated simultaneously to light front and rear cameras at once, ideal for dual-capture video or vlogging where the subject and creator need balanced exposure. Three colour-temperature settings — 3200 K, 4300 K and 5600 K — let you match warm ambient light or cool daylight without carrying gel filters. Four brightness steps (Off, Low, Medium, High) give coarse but immediate control when there is no time for fine-tuning on a phone screen.

Sustained Output Stability

Because the Cookie relies on the host device’s USB-C bus, maximum output and run-time are limited by that source’s current capability rather than an internal battery; extended sessions at High brightness will drain a phone faster than at Low. The hard-light side maintains a tighter beam for distance, while the soft side spreads output evenly for close-ups, and both hold a CRI of 95 and TLCI of 98 across all colour temperatures, so colour fidelity stays consistent during long takes without the drift seen in lower-spec LEDs.
