MUNBYN MU-4x6 Fold labels are 4x6 inch direct thermal sheets supplied in a fanfold stack of 220. They are made for small businesses and home shippers who print shipping labels on 4-inch thermal printers from brands such as Munbyn, Rollo, Jadens and others listed in the compatibility data. They are not for laser or inkjet printers and they do not suit users who need roll-fed media or label widths other than 101.6mm x 152.4mm.

Practical limits of the direct thermal format

The labels rely on heat-sensitive paper so they darken if exposed to strong sunlight or prolonged heat, which can make barcodes unreadable. They are supplied as 220 sheets per carton with pre-cut perforations, so each tear gives one 4x6 label; there is no backing roll to manage. The adhesive is permanent and designed for corrugated boxes, poly mailers and envelopes, but the material is not waterproof and will degrade if packages get wet in transit.

Installation and common issues

Loading is simple: open the kraft carton, align the fanfold stack behind the printer and feed the first sheet through the guides. Most problems come from misaligned stacks that cause the printer to grab two sheets at once, or from dust on the print head that leaves faint lines on barcodes. Keeping the carton closed until use and cleaning the head with isopropyl alcohol between rolls prevents the majority of jams and print-quality complaints.
