Kit contents and intended use

The Morse MHS08I kit supplies fifteen pieces including eleven bimetal hole saws ranging from 3/4 inch to 3 inches. Two arbors are provided, one with a 3/8 inch shank and one with a 1/2 inch shank, plus a twelve inch extension and a slug ejector spring. Practical limits of the bimetal system

Cutting speed and life depend on material hardness, lubrication and drill press rigidity, none of which the kit specifies. The largest 3 inch saw demands substantial torque and may exceed the capacity of light-duty cordless drills. The 1/2 inch shank arbor requires a chuck that accepts that diameter. Users needing diameters outside the 3/4 to 3 inch range or specialised tooth geometries for abrasive composites must source additional saws separately.
