Purpose and Installer

The Milwaukee Valve UP667 is a 1/2-inch gate valve designed for water supply lines in residential and light-commercial plumbing. Low-lead brass construction meets modern potable-water standards for safer drinking water. The non-rising stem and wheel handle suit tight spaces where a rising stem would interfere with finished walls or cabinets. Installers needing a straightforward shut-off for service or repair will find the NPT female threads familiar and fast to assemble.

Build Integration

Female NPT threads on both ends accept standard 1/2-inch male pipe fittings without adapters, keeping the joint count low. A screw-in bonnet allows the stem and wedge assembly to be serviced without removing the body from the pipeline. The solid brass wedge and brass seats create a metal-to-metal seal that tolerates debris better than resilient seats in older systems. The 17.6 Cv rating indicates strong flow capacity for the nominal size, reducing pressure drop across the valve.

Thermals Noise and Power

Brass body and bonnet conduct heat away from the water column, so the exterior remains near ambient temperature during normal operation. With no moving parts outside the stem threads and no electrical components, the valve produces no audible noise when fully open or closed. Maximum operating pressure is rated at 200 psi for cold water service, providing a wide safety margin for typical municipal supplies. Manual wheel operation requires only modest torque, eliminating the need for actuators or external power.
