The Metra 99-7504 is a single-DIN stereo installation kit designed for the Mazda 3 from 2004 to 2009. It replaces the factory display with a recessed DIN mount and a moulded pocket. The kit includes ISO mounts with Metra's patented Quick Release brackets and a custom trim plate. The surface is contoured and textured to match the original dashboard finish.

Fitment scope and limits

This kit suits owners fitting an aftermarket single-DIN head unit into the specified Mazda 3 model years. It will not accommodate a double-DIN radio or any vehicle outside the 2004-2009 Mazda 3 range. Buyers who need a larger opening or a different dashboard contour should look at alternative dash kits. The included pocket is fixed and cannot be swapped for a different storage module.

Installation notes

The Quick Release brackets allow the new stereo to be mounted before the assembly slides into the dash opening. The custom trim plate aligns with the factory screw points so no drilling or cutting is required. A common issue is forgetting to transfer the factory hazard switch or climate controls if they are not integrated into the new head unit. Ensure all wiring harnesses are connected before securing the final trim piece.
