Vehicle Fitment

The Metra 95-8735B is a double-DIN dash installation kit engineered for select Mercedes SL Class vehicles produced between 2003 and 2008. It allows owners to replace the factory radio with any standard 4-inch tall aftermarket head unit that uses an ISO-mount provision. The kit is moulded from high-quality ABS plastic and finished in a scratch-resistant matte black paint to match the original dashboard appearance.

Upgrade Path

This kit replaces the original single-DIN or integrated factory stereo aperture, enabling the installation of a modern touchscreen or multimedia receiver. The jump is worthwhile when the factory unit lacks features such as smartphone integration, navigation or expanded audio processing that a double-DIN aftermarket radio provides. Depending on the specific model year, modifications to the centre console trim bezel may be necessary to achieve a flush fit.

Build Integration

The package includes all required mounting brackets, hardware and detailed instructions to complete the installation. A technical support line is available seven days a week for assistance during the fitting process. Separate wiring harnesses and antenna adapters, not included with this kit, are typically needed to connect the new radio to the vehicle's existing speaker wiring and antenna system.
