The Mellanox MSN2700-CS2F is a 1U rack-mount switch with thirty-two QSFP28 ports running at 100 Gigabit Ethernet. It targets data-centre operators and high-performance-compute clusters that need dense, layer-3 forwarding in a single rack unit. The x86 control plane runs MLNX-OS for full network programmability.

Dual PSU, port-side exhaust

Two hot-swap AC power supplies provide redundancy without consuming extra rack height. Port-to-coolant airflow matches cold-aisle intake designs, so the switch draws cool air from the front and exhausts it toward the hot aisle. Standard 27-inch depth fits common four-post racks and the included rail kit secures the 24.47 lb chassis without additional hardware.

86 W typical, RoHS-6 compliant

Typical system draw is 86 watts under normal traffic loads, keeping thermal output predictable for aisle containment planning. Fan speed scales with internal temperature sensors, so acoustic levels stay proportional to actual load rather than running at fixed maximum. RoHS-6 certification confirms restricted-substance compliance for regulated deployments.
