This passive copper cable connects two QSFP ports using the 802.3bj electrical interface. It is built for network devices that need a short, fixed-length interconnect inside a rack or between adjacent chassis. No active circuitry means zero power draw and minimal latency.

3.28 ft reach with QSFP ends

The single specification that decides fit is the one-metre passive assembly terminated with QSFP connectors on both ends. If the equipment uses a different connector type, a longer reach, or an active optical module, this cable will not work.

Rack-to-rack and intra-chassis runs

At 3.28 ft the assembly comfortably handles top-of-rack to server links or switch-to-switch stacking within the same cabinet. Beyond that distance the passive design runs out of signal margin, so longer spans require active or optical alternatives.
