This MAXTECH mortise lockset fits the same door preparation as Marks Metro 116DW-X and 114DW-X models. It is a heavy-duty latch-only unit with a 2-1/2 inch backset and wide face plate for standard commercial cutouts. The satin chrome 26D finish and ADA-compliant lever suit high-traffic public entrances. Left-hand orientation and vestibule function keep the outside locked at all times.

Thru-bolted lever plates and spring-loaded spindles

Screwless lever assemblies bolt through the door for rigid mounting that resists vandalism and daily abuse. Independent spring-loaded captivated spindles return the lever automatically without sag. Lever support springs add extra resistance to forced rotation. The solid brass cylinder ships with two keys and no interior thumb turn for storeroom security.

Latch-only function limits access control

Without a deadbolt or rocker, this lock cannot secure a door independently; it relies on a separate deadbolt or electronic strike for full locking. The fixed vestibule function means the exterior lever is always locked, so occupants cannot unlock it from outside even with a key. Buyers who need a combined latch and deadbolt in one mortise case should choose a different function. Left-hand handing cannot be reversed on site.
