It operates on a classroom function where the outside lever is locked by key while the inside lever remains free for egress. The lock fits wood or metal doors ranging from 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" thick with a 2-3/4" backset.

Each lock ships with two keys and is keyed different out of the box using an SC1 keyway. The cylinder accepts rekeying to Schlage, Arrow, Marks, AWI, Lori, Falcon, ASSA and most Medeco cylinders.
