This Master Lock padlock is designed specifically for vending machines and meter enclosures. It operates with Key No. 522 and uses a keyed-alike system for simplified key management across multiple units. The lock is not rekeyable and does not require control key registration. Steel Body with Fixed Shackle

The rectangular body and shackle are both constructed from steel with a silver finish. The shackle dimensions are fixed at a 3/8 inch diameter, 5/8 inch height, and 5/8 inch width. The lock features a 4-pin cylinder and a Master K1 keyway. It is not weather resistant and lacks interchangeable core or high-security ratings, limiting its use to protected indoor or sheltered environments.

Direct Replacement for Key No. 522 Systems

This padlock serves as a direct replacement for existing vending or meter locks keyed to No. 522. The upgrade is worthwhile when standardising a fleet to a single key number or when a non-rekeyable, keyed-alike unit is specified. It is not suitable for applications requiring weather resistance, high-security ratings, rekeyable cylinders, or master-keyed systems beyond the keyed-alike function.
