The Master Lock 406KABLK is a thermoplastic lockout padlock supplied keyed alike so that a single key operates every unit in the set. Safety officers use it to secure energy-isolation points during maintenance, and the non-conductive body prevents accidental electrical contact while the lock is in place.

Non-conductive thermoplastic limits use

The plastic body and plastic shackle provide electrical insulation but cannot withstand the cutting or prying forces that a steel shackle resists. The shackle clears 13/16 in horizontally and 1 1/2 in vertically, so the lock fits standard hasp holes but will not span wider gate gaps or thick chain links without an additional hasp.

A non-removable key design forces the user to close the shackle before the key can be withdrawn, reducing the chance that a padlock is left unlocked on an energy source. The black thermoplastic body measures 1 3/4 in high by 1 1/2 in wide by 3/4 in thick, and the 1/4 in diameter plastic shackle resists corrosion in wet or chemical environments.
