This LUOM HDMI2SDI unit converts a single HDMI source into two simultaneous SDI outputs. It is designed for camera operators, broadcast engineers and streaming professionals who need to send 1080p video over long SDI cable runs. The metal enclosure provides shielding and heat dissipation for continuous industrial use. Plug-and-play operation requires no driver installation on Windows, macOS, Linux or Android.
Bundled power supply and manual
The included external power supply ensures stable 2.970 Gbit/s 3G-SDI transmission without drawing current from the HDMI source. A printed manual covers the automatic format detection that selects between 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and SD-SDI standards. Embedded audio travels with the video so sound and picture stay in sync across both SDI outputs. No software licence or additional cabling is supplied.
Maximum 1080p resolution limit
The converter accepts HDMI inputs up to 1080p at 60 Hz but cannot pass 4K or higher frame-rate signals. Output distance reaches 100 metres for 3G-SDI, 200 metres for HD-SDI and 300 metres for SD-SDI. It is not bi-directional and will not convert SDI back to HDMI. Chaining multiple units of this type is discouraged by the manufacturer.
