Capacity and headroom

The link runs at up to 16 Gbps across eight lanes, matching the bandwidth of an OCuLink 8x 80-pin interface. It handles PCIe 4.0 x8 or equivalent storage traffic without bottleneck. The active circuitry maintains signal integrity at this rate, but the cable cannot exceed the 16 Gbps ceiling or support wider 16-lane connections.

Thermals noise and power
