Bluetooth 5.1 DAC and FM radio streamer

This Lordworld receiver adds wireless streaming and FM radio to any home audio system. It uses a QCC5125 Bluetooth 5.1 chip that supports LDAC, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, AAC and SBC codecs. An ES9038 DAC and triple OPA1656 op-amps handle digital-to-analogue conversion. The unit is intended for listeners who want high-resolution playback from a phone or tablet without replacing their existing amplifier.

Sustained playback with high-resolution codecs

During long listening sessions the ES9038 DAC maintains a signal-to-noise ratio of 98 dB and total harmonic distortion of 0.07 %. The Bluetooth 5.1 link streams up to 96 kHz / 24-bit resolution without dropping back to lower bit-rates. The remote works at 10 m range so volume and source changes stay responsive from the listening position. The 2.4-inch colour screen continuously shows track data, lyrics and radio frequency.

Interface and radio limits

Optical and coaxial digital outputs pass the decoded signal to external amplifiers without further conversion. Stereo RCA outputs provide an analogue path for equipment without digital inputs. FM reception covers 76-108 MHz with automatic scan and manual tuning modes. An automotive-grade tuner and the supplied 10 m antenna give stable reception in difficult locations. The infrared remote cannot control devices that require RF or Bluetooth commands.
