Compact DC-to-ATX Power Module

The LORDWORLD unit converts a single 12 V DC source into standard ATX rails through a 24-pin connector that plugs straight into the motherboard. Rated for 250 W output, it targets Mini-ITX builders who want to run a small-form-factor board from an external 12 V adapter instead of a full-size PSU. The 5.5 mm outer and 2.5 mm inner diameter barrel jack accepts common laptop-style power bricks.

Steady-State Delivery and Protection

Under continuous load the module maintains its 250 W rating as long as the 12 V input can supply sufficient current. A built-in short-circuit guard shuts the output down instantly when a fault is detected, protecting both the motherboard and the upstream adapter. Thermal behaviour will follow the limits of the chosen 12 V supply and the airflow inside the chassis.

Input Interface Constraints

The 12 V DC barrel jack is the sole energy path; the unit cannot accept AC mains, a wider voltage range, or multiple input sources. Output connectors are fixed to the 24-pin ATX header, so systems that need auxiliary CPU or PCIe power cables cannot use this module without additional adapters. Builders requiring redundant feeds or higher wattage must look elsewhere.
