What this unit adds to your printer

The Lexmark 50G0853 High Capacity Output Expander mounts on top of the printer and raises the output capacity to 1,500 sheets of 20 lb or 75 gsm paper. It also accepts envelopes, card stock, transparencies and labels. Bin-full sensing is built in so the printer knows when the tray is full.

When to add this instead of a standard expander

The high-capacity model replaces a smaller output tray when print volumes regularly exceed the standard bin. If you already use an Output Expander, this unit must sit below it in the stack. The jump is worth it when you need fewer interruptions to unload pages during long runs.
