Expanded input capacity

The Lexmark 20L8801 adds two 550-sheet trays beneath the printer for a total of 1,100 extra sheets. It accepts plain paper, labels, envelopes and card stock from 60 to 300 gsm in sizes from A6 up to SRA3. Sensors detect tray presence, paper size and low-paper status automatically. The unit includes casters and raises the printer to the height required for a 1,250-sheet or 2,250-sheet finisher.

Sustained high-volume feeding

With 1,100 sheets on tap the accessory supports long print runs without operator reloads. Each tray feeds reliably at the printer's rated speed because the paper path is a direct extension of the standard 550-sheet tray. The dual-tray layout lets you load different media types simultaneously so the printer can switch between them without pause. It is not compatible with a 2,000-sheet tandem tray, so environments that need that configuration must choose a different option.

Installed stability and power

The trays lock directly under the printer and the integrated casters keep the combined stack stable when the unit is moved for maintenance. No separate power connection is required; the option draws its operating current through the printer's existing supply. Mechanical paper-size sensing and low-paper detection add no audible noise beyond the printer's normal feed sounds. The assembly adds the exact height needed for the supported finishers without altering the printer's thermal profile.
