Brass push-fit union for 10 mm tube

The Legris 3606 10 00 joins two 10 mm tubes with a nickel-plated brass body rated to 435 psi and 302 Degrees F. It suits lubrication circuits where a straight, tool-free connection is required. The fitting uses push-to-connect ends on both sides and carries material grade C36000 for corrosion resistance. No thread sealant is included or pre-applied.

Behaviour under sustained pressure and temperature

At the maximum 435 psi the brass body and internal collet maintain seal integrity without creep, while the 302 Degrees F limit covers continuous hot-oil or coolant flow. The 47 1/2 mm overall length keeps the joint compact so vibration-induced fatigue is minimised. Repeated thermal cycles do not degrade the push-fit grip because the collet design distributes load evenly around the tube.

Installation and common pitfalls

Push each 10 mm tube fully home until the collet clicks; a partial insert leaks at pressure. Cut tube ends square and deburr them — rough edges damage the O-ring and cause weeping. Do not apply thread tape or paste to the push-fit ends; they seal by compression alone. Verify the tube outer diameter is exactly 10 mm; 13/32 in nominal sizes can vary enough to prevent a reliable seal.
