Copper Reducing Tee for plumbing systems

This copper reducing tee connects three pipes at a tee junction with a 2-inch inlet and two 1-inch outlets. It is designed for installers and maintenance teams working on residential or commercial water-supply lines that require a step-down in pipe diameter. The C x C x C configuration suits sweat-solder joints on standard copper tubing.

Sweat-solder connections ensure permanent joints

Each end accepts copper pipe for sweat soldering, creating a leak-resistant bond once heated and filled with solder. The 2-inch by 1-inch by 1-inch sizing reduces flow from a larger main to two smaller branches without additional reducers. Copper construction resists corrosion and handles typical hot- and cold-water pressures in indoor plumbing.

Replaces separate tee and reducer assemblies

Using this single fitting eliminates the need to join a straight tee to two reducer couplings, cutting joint count and solder time. The consolidation is worthwhile when space is tight or when minimising potential leak points matters. It does not suit press-fit, push-fit or threaded systems, so installers using those methods will need a different fitting type.
