Legend Valve 450-248 Copper Reducing Tee

This copper reducing tee connects three pipe sections of different diameters in a single junction. It suits plumbers and DIY installers joining 1-1/2", 3/4" and 1-1/4" copper lines in residential water systems. The sweat-to-sweat-to-sweat design requires soldering skill and flux for watertight seals. Not intended for press-fit, push-to-connect or threaded pipe methods.

Capacity and headroom

The fitting joins 1-1/2", 3/4" and 1-1/4" inside-diameter copper tubes with corresponding outside diameters of 1-5/8", 7/8" and 1-3/8". It handles standard hot and cold water pressures found in domestic plumbing. The reduced branch limits flow compared to a full-size tee, so high-volume loops may need a larger branch. Not rated for gas, steam or industrial pressure classes.

Build quality and connectors

Made from copper for corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity in potable water lines. Each end is a smooth socket ready for soldered joints using standard plumbing torch and lead-free solder. The California Proposition 65 notice indicates the presence of chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm; wear gloves and ventilate the work area. No threads, gaskets or mechanical clamps are included.
