Plumbing fitting for water supply systems

The Legend Valve 311-166 is a no-lead red brass nipple designed for connecting pipe sections in potable water installations. Its 2-inch by 4-inch dimensions suit standard residential and light commercial plumbing layouts. Professional installers and DIY users select it for code-compliant supply lines.

No-lead brass construction for potable use

The red brass alloy meets no-lead requirements for drinking water safety while resisting dezincification in typical supply conditions. It handles normal municipal pressure and temperature ranges found in residential service. The material is not intended for high-temperature hydronic heating loops or aggressive chemical exposure.

California Proposition 65 notice applies

Questions about this item

Will the 2" NPT threads on this 311-166 nipple connect to my existing copper fittings?

The nipple has standard 2" NPT threads; verify your fittings use the same thread type before assembly.

How can I confirm the 311-166 nipple is installed correctly?

Check for leaks after pressurising the line; a proper seal shows no moisture at the threaded joints.

Does the box include thread sealant or do I buy it separately?

Only the 2" x 4" no-lead red brass nipple is supplied; thread tape or pipe dope must be purchased separately.
