1" No-Lead DZR Forged Brass Ball Valve
This 1" T-1960NL valve uses a no-lead, dezincification-resistant forged brass body for potable water systems. It connects a sweat copper inlet to a cold expansion PEX outlet compliant with the F1960 standard. The quarter-turn ball mechanism provides positive shut-off for residential and light commercial plumbing.
Capacity and headroom for 1" service lines
The full-port 1" bore matches nominal copper and PEX tubing sizes, delivering unrestricted flow for main supply branches and fixture groups. It handles standard municipal pressure ratings without restriction, but is not rated for high-pressure hydronic or steam applications beyond typical domestic water limits.
Sweat and F1960 connections define installation
The sweat end requires copper soldering tools and flux, while the F1960 end needs a cold expansion ring and expander tool for a secure PEX joint. No-lead brass satisfies Proposition 65 compliance for safe drinking water contact. The forged body resists stress corrosion, but the valve is not designed for direct burial or exposed outdoor freeze conditions without protection.

Questions about this item
Will the 1" sweat end join cleanly to my existing copper manifold without an adapter?
The valve has a 1" sweat connection on one side and a 1" cold expansion PEX F1960 end on the other, so it mates directly to standard 1" copper tube without extra fittings.
How do I confirm the T-1960NL ball valve is sealing correctly once installed?
Pressurise the line and watch the sweat joint and F1960 crimp ring; the no-lead DZR forged brass body and ball should hold pressure with no visible weep at either connection.
Does the box include the F1960 crimp rings or sleeves for the PEX side?
Only the 101-475NL valve body is supplied; F1960 cold expansion rings or sleeves must be purchased separately to complete the PEX connection.
