The Lee Filters 100x150mm Reverse-Graduated ND 0.9 Filter reduces light by 3 stops at the horizon line. It is designed for photographers capturing balanced exposures during sunrise and sunset. The 100x150mm size fits the Lee 100 filter holder system. It suits landscape and seascape shooters needing precise horizon management.

Replaces standard graduated ND

Standard graduated filters place maximum density at the top and fade toward the centre, which can over-darken the sky above the horizon. This reverse design puts the strongest density in the middle with a gradual transition. The jump is worth it when the brightest part of the scene sits on the horizon, such as open seascapes. It is not for scenes where the brightest area remains high in the frame.

Sustained transition quality

Hand-manufactured at the Andover factory, the filter maintains a smooth, consistent graduation across the transition zone under prolonged use. The density profile avoids the sharp stripe common in lesser filters, preserving natural tonality during long exposures. The optical resin resists colour shift during extended sessions. It is not for situations requiring a hard-edged transition between sky and foreground.
