Behaviour during extended shooting sessions

The resin material maintains consistent density and colour neutrality across long exposures typical of golden-hour work, resisting the colour shift that can appear in lesser filters after prolonged heat from direct sunlight. A smooth transition zone between the dyed centre and clear edges prevents hard lines in the image even when the horizon is tilted or the composition changes between frames. The 100x150mm format fits standard filter holders, allowing quick stacking with other Lee graduated filters as light conditions evolve.

Ideal for ultra-wide lenses on full-frame

The gradient profile is calibrated for lenses of 24mm or wider on a full-frame DSLR or equivalent, making it unsuitable for narrower fields of view where the horizon band would fall outside the strongest density area. Photographers using longer focal lengths or smaller sensor formats will not achieve the intended horizon balancing effect and should consider a standard graduated ND instead.
