Lava 2118 14.5" Power Extension Cord

The Lava 2118 extends a wall outlet by 14.5 inches for desktop or lamp connections. It suits users who need a short, tidy reach without excess cable slack. The cord handles standard mains voltage for typical household devices. It is a straightforward solution for close-proximity power needs.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The passive cord generates no noise and draws no power of its own. Conductors remain cool during normal operation within rated limits. No active cooling or thermal management is required. It simply transmits electricity from the socket to the attached equipment.

Replaces Shorter Leads or Damaged Cables

This cord upgrades setups where the original cable falls short of the outlet by a small margin. The jump is worth it when a full-length extension creates clutter or trip hazards. It is not for users who need metres of reach or multiple outlets from one socket. Builders requiring rack-mounted power distribution should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Lava 2118 power extension cord and what is the common mistake?

Plug the female end into the device and the male end into the wall outlet; the common mistake is routing the 14.5" cord where it can be pinched or stretched tight.

What maintenance will the Lava 2118 extension cord need later?

Inspect the jacket and plug blades periodically for cracks or discolouration; replace the cord if the insulation is damaged or the prongs become loose.

What limit appears first on the Lava 2118 cord during sustained use?

The 14.5" length is the first constraint, limiting placement options before the cord's ampere rating becomes a factor.
