The Klipsch The Nines II Ebony is a 2.1 channel powered speaker pair designed for listeners who want immersive Dolby Atmos playback and high-resolution audio without separate amplification. Each cabinet houses an eight-inch Jet Cerametallic woofer and a titanium LTS vented tweeter with Tractrix horn, delivering a 31 to 25 kHz frequency response and 107 dB maximum output. The ebony MDF enclosures feature genuine wood veneer and a rear-firing bass-reflex port for extended low-frequency performance in a compact bookshelf form factor.

Connectivity and room integration

The speakers accept HDMI ARC with CEC, optical digital, coaxial digital, RCA phono, RCA analog, USB-C audio, USB-A, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, allowing direct connection to televisions, streamers, turntables and computers. A supplied calibration microphone enables Dirac Live room correction to tune the response to the listening space, while the rear-firing port placement requires some distance from the rear wall for optimal bass performance. No external amplifier or receiver is needed because amplification and processing are built into the primary speaker.

Included accessories and software

The package provides a power cord, remote control, speaker cable, HDMI cable and calibration microphone so the system is operational immediately. Dirac Live room correction is included with a limited license and applies automatic EQ adjustments measured by the microphone. Onboard DSP also offers music, movie, direct and dialog enhancement modes plus a five-band EQ for manual tailoring. Virtual height channels process Dolby Atmos content without additional overhead speakers.
