Hazardous-Location Mounting Box

The Killark EZA2 is a suspended mounting box pendant designed for use with EB, EM and EQ series luminaires in hazardous locations. It provides a secure attachment point for pendant-hung fixtures where flammable gases, vapours or dusts may be present. The aluminium construction resists corrosion in harsh industrial environments. This product is not for installers who need a surface-mount or wall-mount box.

Thermal And Electrical Safety

The powder-epoxy finish over aluminium helps dissipate heat from the connected luminaire while maintaining the enclosure’s protective integrity. A supplied gasket seals the joint against ingress of moisture and particulates that could compromise the hazardous-location rating. The assembly carries a UL 844 listing confirming compliance with the standard for lighting in hazardous locations. No power-consumption or noise figures apply to this passive mechanical component.

Included Gasket And Finish

The box ships with a gasket that creates the necessary seal between the pendant and the luminaire, eliminating the need to source a separate sealing component. The tan powder-epoxy coating provides a durable, chemical-resistant surface that withstands wash-downs and exposure to industrial solvents. The finish also aids visual identification of the fitting in low-light plant areas. No additional mounting hardware or wiring accessories are supplied.
