The Kenwood DMX5710S is a new digital multimedia receiver built around a 6.8" WSVGA capacitive touch screen. It supports wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus wireless mirroring for iPhone and Android devices. Built-in Bluetooth handles calls and audio streaming. A short chassis design helps the unit fit a wide range of single-DIN dashboard openings.

The compact single-DIN short chassis simplifies installation in vehicles where depth behind the dash is limited. A dedicated rear-view camera input with on-screen parking guidelines works directly with the included CMOS-230LP1 universal backup camera. iDatalink Maestro readiness allows retention of factory steering-wheel controls and vehicle data features where compatible. Pre-outs at 2.5V and a subwoofer output provide clean signal paths for external amplifiers.

Upgrade Path for Factory Stereos Lacking

This receiver replaces older single-DIN head units that lack modern smartphone projection, high-resolution audio playback, or a camera input. The jump is worthwhile when you need wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, FLAC and WAV playback up to 24-bit/192kHz, and a 13-band EQ with digital time alignment. It is not suited for buyers who require a double-DIN form factor, built-in navigation maps, HD Radio, or an internal amplifier rated above the pre-out level.
