The Kenwood DMX1058XR is a double-DIN digital multimedia receiver built around a 10.1-inch high-definition capacitive touchscreen that uses a floating panel design with four-way position adjustment. It supports wired and wireless Apple CarPlay plus wireless Android Auto for smartphone integration. Built-in Bluetooth, HD Radio and Wi-Fi handle audio streaming and connectivity. Three 5-volt pre-outs and a digital optical output provide system expansion options.

CMOS-230LP1 rear-view camera adds night-capable

The bundled CMOS-230LP1 universal backup camera supplies a rear-view image with a waterproof housing and clear night vision. Its 24.5-foot cable length suits most vehicle runs from the rear to the head unit. With four camera inputs available on the receiver, the camera occupies one input while leaving three additional inputs for front, side or secondary rear cameras. The receiver is HD front and rear camera ready, so the included camera matches the input specification without adapters.

Double-DIN chassis fits standard openings.

Installation follows a standard double-DIN chassis size, so the receiver fits existing dash openings without custom fabrication. The floating panel’s four-way adjustment lets the installer align the screen to the dashboard angle after the unit is secured. Running the camera’s 24.5-foot cable through the vehicle body is the most common difficulty; tight grommets or sharp trim edges can damage the jacket if not protected. The receiver also supports an optional remote control and is SiriusXM ready with a separately sold tuner.
