Portable HDMI-to-VGA Adapter with Audio

This compact adapter converts an HDMI male signal to a VGA female output while adding a 3.5 mm stereo audio jack. It is aimed at professionals and educators who need to connect modern laptops, desktops or streaming devices to legacy monitors, projectors or HDTVs. The unit draws supplemental power from a built-in USB port when the source device provides limited current. It supports video up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz.

Build Integration and Connectivity

The adapter plugs directly into an HDMI port on computers, ultrabooks, Chromebooks, Raspberry Pi boards, Intel NUCs, Roku sticks, PS3, Xbox 360 or Xbox One consoles. A standard VGA cable completes the link to the display, while the 3.5 mm jack feeds external speakers or headphones. No drivers or software are required. Thermal Noise and Power Characteristics
