Charger behaviour under continuous use

The wall unit accepts 100 to 240 volt alternating current at 50 to 60 hertz and delivers a steady 4.2 volt direct current at 600 milliamperes. A red LED shows active charging and a green LED signals standby or full charge. The foldable flat pins allow the adapter to lie flush against a socket or power strip. The charger is designed for indoor use with the supplied cell only; it is not a multi-bay station and cannot charge several packs at once.

Limits of the 5.18 watt-hour cell

The battery stores 5.18 watt-hours of energy, which translates to a finite number of still frames or video minutes depending on the camera’s power draw. Cold environments and high-drain recording modes will reduce the usable runtime further. The chemistry is rated for hundreds of cycles, but capacity will fade with age and repeated deep discharges. No capacity indicator resides on the cell itself, so the charger’s green light remains the only full-charge confirmation.
