What it is and who it fits

This Kastar NP-FM500H lithium-ion cell delivers 7.4 V and 2400 mAh (17.76 Wh) in a single pack. It replaces the Sony NP-FM500H and works with the Sony BC-VM10 and AC-SQ950 chargers. The battery fits a long list of Sony Alpha DSLR and SLT bodies including the A200, A300, A350, A450, A500, A550, A560, A580, A700, A850, A900, A57, A58, A65, A68, A77 and A77II series, plus the a99V, Alpha 99II, SLT-A99 II and ILCA-99M2 models, the VG-C77AM grip and the Viltrox DC-50 monitor.

Sustained shooting performance

The 2400 mAh capacity is rated for extended run time compared with lower-capacity alternatives, letting you keep shooting through long sessions without swapping cells. Built-in protection circuits guard against over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current and over-heating, so the pack maintains stable output even when the camera draws continuous power for video or burst sequences.
