Four Li-Ion batteries and AC charger

The Kastar KLIC-8000 kit supplies four lithium-ion cells plus a foldable-plug wall charger for Kodak and Ricoh cameras that use the KLIC-8000 or DB-50 battery type. Each cell delivers 3.7 V and 2400 mAh for 8.9 Wh of capacity. Photographers who shoot extended sessions with compatible Z-series or Pocket Video models can swap fresh packs without hunting for a proprietary charger. The bundle suits travel or event work where mains power is available between shoots.

Replaces original Kodak KLIC-8000 packs

Owners of Kodak Z612 IS, Z712 IS, Z812 IS, Z8612 IS, Z885, Z1012 IS, Z1015 IS, Z1085 IS or Z1485 IS cameras, plus Pocket Video ZX1, PlaySport ZX1 and ZXD models, can use these batteries in place of the factory units. Ricoh Caplio R1, R1S, R1V, R2 and RZ1 shooters also gain a direct substitute. The charger accepts 100–240 V AC at 50–60 Hz, so it works worldwide without a separate adapter. Users whose cameras require a different form factor or voltage should look elsewhere.

Steady 4.2 V 600 mA charge with LED status

The wall unit outputs a constant 4.2 V at 600 mA, feeding each cell at a moderate rate that limits heat build-up during a full cycle. A red LED shows active charging; green signals standby or completion. Because the current is fixed, four depleted packs take several hours to reach capacity, making overnight charging practical. The foldable flat pins reduce bulk in a gear bag. No fast-charge mode or multi-bay simultaneous charging is provided.
