The kit supplies one 98 Wh lithium-ion battery and a dual D-Tap charger that can charge two batteries simultaneously. It is built for operators of compatible Canon Cinema EOS and XF cameras who need a spare power source and a way to replenish two packs at once. The battery also provides a USB output for charging phones or tablets on set. Buyers who need a charger for non-D-Tap batteries or who require more than two charging channels should look elsewhere.

Sustained-load behaviour

The battery delivers 14.4 V with a 6800 mAh capacity and a four-LED indicator to track remaining charge during long takes. Its D-Tap ports accept 11–16.8 V input and can output up to 100 W, supporting continuous power to the camera and accessories. The charger runs from 110–240 V AC and supplies 16.8 V at 4.0 A on a single channel or 2 A per channel when both channels are active, with red LEDs while charging and green when complete. Users who need hot-swap capability without a D-Tap infrastructure cannot use this kit.

Confirm that your camera accepts Canon BP-A series batteries and that you have a D-Tap cable for each battery you plan to charge simultaneously. Verify that your rig can accommodate the battery’s 6.5 × 3 × 2 inch form factor and that you do not require a charger with more than two D-Tap outputs. The included 4-pin XLR adapter powers the camera directly, so ensure your camera has a matching XLR DC input if you intend to use that feature.
