Protection Limits of a Level 1 Three-Ply Mask

The Level 1 rating covers low-barrier procedures and general particulate filtration but does not qualify for high-fluid-exposure or surgical environments. The meltblown layer captures airborne particles down to the tested efficiency while the outer non-woven sheets resist light moisture. Extended wear, heavy soiling or high-velocity splashes reduce the effective barrier and the mask must then be discarded.
