Signal extraction and pass-through

This Jansicotek HDMI audio extractor takes one HDMI input and splits it into an HDMI video pass-through plus optical Toslink SPDIF and RCA L/R stereo analogue outputs. It is intended for users who need to send audio from a source such as a Blu-ray player, games console, streaming stick or PC to an amplifier, soundbar or speaker system while keeping the video on a display. The unit requires the included 5 V power adapter to operate.

Check source resolution and audio mode

Verify that your source device can output at 4K 30 Hz or 1080P at 50 or 60 Hz and that it uses HDMI 1.4b with HDCP 1.4, as higher refresh rates or newer HDMI versions are not supported. Ensure your audio system accepts either optical SPDIF or RCA stereo and select the correct mode — PASS, 2.0CH or 5.1CH — because the extractor does not decode DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, LPCM 7.1, DTS, Dolby AC3 or DSD into formats your amplifier cannot handle. ARC is not supported, so the TV’s own audio return channel cannot be used with this device.

Stable operation under continuous use

The extractor maintains synchronous separation of video and audio without signal loss during extended playback sessions, preserving 36-bit deep colour and 3D content at the rated resolutions. Because it does not perform heavy processing or scaling, heat build-up is minimal and the 5 V supply remains sufficient for continuous operation. Audio format compatibility stays consistent across DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD, LPCM 7.1, DTS, Dolby AC3 and DSD as long as the source and sink devices remain unchanged.
