Double-sided foam tape for mounting and sealing

This double-sided polyethylene foam tape uses a solvent-based acrylic adhesive on a closed-cell cross-linked foam carrier. It bonds nameplates, signs, mirrors, maps and small die-cast parts to textured or irregular surfaces. The 1/8 inch thickness provides conformability and compressibility for secure mounting in industrial, electronic and general-purpose applications.

Sustained load performance

The solvent-based acrylic adhesive delivers high shear strength that resists creep under continuous load. It maintains secure bonds through temperature cycles, humidity, UV exposure and contact with mild acids, oil or grease. This makes it suitable for outdoor mounting and long-term vibration dampening in business machines and equipment.

Limits of foam thickness and roll length

The 1/8 inch foam thickness sets a fixed gap between substrates, limiting use where thinner or thicker bond lines are required. Each roll supplies 18 yards of 3/8 inch wide tape on a 3 inch core, so large-area projects need multiple rolls. The closed-cell structure prevents moisture absorption but does not conduct heat or electricity.
