The Intermec SR61BV0400 is a new handheld scanner that reads one-dimensional barcodes using a linear imager. It connects through Bluetooth wireless technology and ships without a USB cable. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery powers the unit for mobile data capture in warehouse, retail or field-service environments.

100 ft Bluetooth range frees the operator

A 100 ft scanning distance lets the user stay connected to the host while moving across aisles or loading bays. No tethering cable is required, so the workstation stays clear of trip hazards and the operator can carry the scanner to the item instead of bringing the item to a fixed reader. Pairing is handled through standard Bluetooth on the host device.

Upgrade from tethered or short-range units

This model replaces corded 1D scanners that limit reach to cable length and earlier wireless units with shorter radio range. The jump is worth it when staff must scan pallets on high racks, verify loads on trucks or roam large sales floors without losing the host connection. The rugged housing also survives drops that would damage lighter consumer-grade scanners.
