Before ordering, check your equipment

Verify that both devices you plan to link present standard RJ45 Ethernet ports. Confirm the 14 ft reach covers the intended path with enough slack for cable management. Ensure the patch panel, switch or wall outlet accepts unshielded Cat6 plugs; some high-density ports can be tight around moulded boots. No grounding or shield termination is required because the cable is unshielded.

Thermals, noise and power

Passive copper construction generates no heat and produces no audible noise during operation. The cable draws no electrical power of its own and adds negligible insertion loss within the Cat6 specification.
