1-3/8" OD NBR/PVC Pipe Insulation

This six-foot length of flexible tube insulation is built for 1-inch pipe and 1-3/8-inch copper tube. The closed-cell Buna-N rubber and PVC blend carries a plenum rating and handles continuous temperatures from minus 297 degrees F up to 220 degrees F. It arrives unslit so installers can cut and seal it on site for HVAC, refrigeration or industrial piping runs.

R-4.9 thermal resistance with 3/4-inch wall

The 3/4-inch wall delivers an R-value of 4.9, limiting heat gain on chilled-water lines and reducing condensation in humid spaces. The foam remains pliable at cryogenic temperatures yet resists softening at the top of its rated range. Flame spread index 76 and smoke developed index 101 meet typical plenum requirements, so the product suits commercial mechanical rooms as well as residential retrofits.

Replaces deteriorated wrap

When existing fiberglass wrap has sagged, absorbed moisture or lost its vapour barrier, this tube slides over the pipe and restores a continuous thermal envelope. The jump is worth it on lines that cycle between deep freeze and high heat, or where code now demands plenum-rated material. It is not suited for pipes larger than 1-inch nominal or for outdoor runs that require a UV-protective jacket.
