80-Watt 2-Channel Level Converter

This Install Bay IBLOC02 converts speaker-level signals to a pair of RCA outputs for adding an amplifier to a factory stereo. Wired input with RCA output

The unit uses bare-wire input leads that splice into the vehicle's existing speaker wires, so no specialised connectors are required. Each of the two channels has its own gain knob, allowing independent level matching for front and rear signals. A common mistake is leaving the gain too high, which feeds a clipped signal to the amplifier and causes distortion. Securing the ground connection to clean chassis metal avoids the hum that a loose or painted surface introduces.

Transformer isolation and 80-watt limit

The internal transformer breaks the DC path between the head unit and the amplifier, eliminating ground-loop hum without active circuitry. Because the device is rated for 80 watts maximum input, it is not suited for high-power factory amplified systems that exceed that figure. The fixed two-channel layout also means it cannot handle multi-channel surround configurations or provide a dedicated subwoofer output.
