The INSEETECH WF818 is a 1080P magnetic wireless backup camera designed for vehicles such as pickup trucks, trailers, RVs and horse trailers. It attaches to any metal surface using a strong magnetic base, removing the need for drilling. The camera streams video to the INSEECam app on iOS or Android devices via its own Wi-Fi hotspot, making it suitable for drivers who want a portable, tool-free rear-view solution.

Check Phone Compatibility and Mounting Surface

Before ordering, confirm that your smartphone runs a compatible version of iOS or Android for the INSEECam app. The magnetic base requires a flat ferrous metal surface to hold securely; non-magnetic aluminium, fibreglass or plastic body panels will not work. The camera creates a standalone Wi-Fi network, so no existing router or internet connection is needed, but the phone must be able to join that hotspot while driving.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw in Normal Use

The unit draws power from a built-in 3.7V 3000mAh rechargeable battery that provides up to 7 hours of continuous operation and 90 days of standby time. It can be recharged via a DC 5-12V supply or an optional solar panel. With no moving parts the camera runs silently, and the IP69K-rated housing protects the electronics from high-pressure water and dust during typical outdoor use.
