Outlet Box Extender for 1-Gang Installations

The iMBAPrice BE1-2 is a white, 1-gang electrical outlet box extender sold as a two-pack. It extends existing electrical boxes by up to one and a half inches to bring devices flush with new wall surfaces. The extender automatically levels and supports standard outlets, switches, GFCIs and other devices. It is manufactured from 94VO rated flame retardant plastic with a two-hour fire rating.

Replaces Shims When Walls Are Built Out

This extender replaces improvised shims or deeper boxes when drywall, tile or panelling is added over an existing electrical box. It is compliant with 2008 NEC Article 314.2 and is UL and CSA listed for safety. Installation does not require removing device wires; wires are pulled through, the device is tilted in at an angle and pushed firmly into the box before securing.
