Inductive proximity sensor 1 mm range

The IFM Efector IE5207 is an inductive cylindrical proximity sensor with a maximum detecting distance of 1 mm. It operates on a 10 to 36 V DC supply and provides a 2-wire PNP/NPN normally open output. The brass housing is white bronze coated and rated IP67 for dust and water ingress protection. A 2 m cable provides the electrical connection.

Suited for short-range metal detection

This sensor suits automation tasks that require reliable detection of metal targets at very close range. The shielded design allows flush mounting in metal surroundings. Builders who need a longer sensing distance or a different output configuration such as NPN only or PNP only should look at alternative models. The fixed 2 m cable length may not suit installations requiring connectorised wiring.
