The Ideal 45-163 is a compact cable stripper designed for installers and technicians who prepare RG58 coaxial cables and flexible power cords. It handles conductor diameters ranging from 1/8 in to 1/4 in with an overall length of 3 1/2 in. The tool performs a strip-only function using adjustable blades that can be set for any depth to help ensure neck-free strips. It works with twisted-pair wire, tightly wrapped stranded cables, CATV cable, CB antenna cable, and SO, SJ, SJT cord types.

Sustained use behaviour

During repeated stripping tasks the adjustable blades maintain their preset depth without slipping, delivering consistent neck-free results across multiple cable types. The manual adjustment mechanism requires no external power or accessory, so output stays uniform throughout a full work session. Practical limits of the stripping interface
