Direct-Fit Subaru Radio Harness

The iDatalink HRN-HRR-SU2 replaces the factory radio connector in select 2012-2021 Subaru vehicles. It terminates in a universal connector that works with aftermarket receivers and iDatalink "Head-unit Direct" harnesses. The kit retains steering-wheel audio controls, factory amplifier and subwoofer, plus Starlink and secondary display functions where equipped. It also provides parking-brake, reverse and speed-sense outputs for navigation units. A Maestro ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module is required for full data integration.

Installation Without Splicing

The harness plugs directly into the vehicle wiring and the "Head-unit Direct" harness, removing the need to cut or splice factory wires. Pairing it with a Maestro module enables plug-and-play setup for vehicle settings, gauges and camera feeds on the new touchscreen. The most common issue is forgetting to order the required ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module, which leaves steering-wheel controls and data features inactive. Front and side cameras also need a receiver with a second camera input.

Verify Vehicle And Receiver Compatibility

Ensure the aftermarket receiver has the necessary inputs for retained cameras and supports the Maestro module you plan to use.
