Vehicle-Specific Radio Harness

The iDatalink HRN-HRR-MA2 is a radio replacement harness built for select 2014-2021 Mazda vehicles. It provides a direct plug-and-play connection between the factory wiring and an aftermarket stereo using a universal radio-side connector. The harness can also be adapted for conventional wiring if the universal connector is removed. It is intended for installers or owners upgrading the head unit while keeping factory integration intact.

Module-Dependent Feature Retention

Full functionality requires a separate Maestro ADS-MRR or ADS-MRR2 module, which is not included with the harness. With that module installed, the harness preserves steering wheel audio controls and the factory amplifier for audio output. It also retains the original rear-view camera feed, while front, side, and 360 camera views become available when paired with an IDatalink-ready aftermarket stereo that supports the necessary video inputs.

Integration Scope and Limits

The harness comfortably handles radio replacement, steering wheel control retention, factory amp integration, and multi-camera video pass-through on compatible Mazda models from 2014 through 2021. It runs out when the required Maestro module is absent, when the aftermarket stereo lacks IDatalink readiness for advanced camera views, or when the specific Mazda trim falls outside the supported vehicle list. Engine performance data display is limited to compatible Alpine, JVC, Kenwood, Sony, and Pioneer receivers.
